Where do I find SOIC packages?

Hi. I'm having a problem finding SOIC packages. The body is 7.5mm wide and pin spacings are 1.27mm. I see people saying I can find it in 75xx library, but I'm having no luck. I also see people telling me to look in "ref-packages.lbr" but I have no idea on where to find that.

    Some things to check...

     

    1.  In the Eagle control panel go to Options->Directories and make sure

    the path for Libraries is set correctly.   By default it will be

    "$EAGLEDIR\lbr"

     

    2. In the Eagle control panel tree view right click on Libraries the

    then "Use All".    Expand the Libraries node and make sure that all the

    listed lbrs (there will be a lot) are shown with a green circle next to

    the library name.

     

    3. Go to your schematic and Add a part.   When the Add dialog pops up

    you can enter a wildcard search expression in the lower left corner.

    Try searching for SO.

     

    You should also be able to access ref-packages.lbr from the control

    panel and view its contents.   I see a lot of stuff with the SO in the

    description so maybe one of those will be right for your part or at

    least a good starting point to create your own.
