No components visible in the add menu. (freeware version)

    The libraries are inactive, to put them in EAGLE's active search list type:

     

    USE * 



    When you click add the libraries should show up. If you have the
    sparkfun library saved outside of the lbr folder then you'll have to put
    it into use using the Library->

    Use... pull down menu.

    It's a bit more complicated than that.  In Control

    Panel->Options->Directories there is a path that EAGLE uses to search for

    libraries.  The "use *" command will look through these directories in

    order.  If you have happened to change that entry then "use *" will only

    find what is in the directories that are specified.
