TTH and SM Board Layouts from one Schematic

Hi, I am trying to find a way of designing one schamtic, but then having two board designs, one as a through-hole design, the other predominantly using SMDs.

Since the parts I add to a schematic specify a package that is either SMD or TH, I can't see an obvious way of avoiding having two schematics, one for each board design.

Am I missing some feature that would let me do this?

    Hi Simon,

I hope you're doing well. Unfortunately there isn't a way to do this in

EAGLE right now. The closest thing would be the variant command but it

doesn't allow you to define different packages for different variants.

You can only change technologies, populate or not, and the value.

    hth,

    Jorge Garcia
