Errant plus sign

Former Member
Former Member over 12 years ago

I'm using Eagle Light. When I place text or a component on the schematic, a plus sign shows up with it. I assume its a postion marker. For example, if I place text such as "-15 V", it shows up as " +-15 V". Is there a way to turn off the plus sign?

Thanks,

Steve

    Hello Steve,

Yes there is: turn off the layers tOrigins and/or bOrigins, depending on

where your components are placed. After that you've lost the possibility

to move any component, you will need to turn the layer(s) on for that.

    Keep that in mind.

In the schematic you can prevent the display of the 'Part' origin and the

    'Text' origin

    Option.ShowPartOrigins

The origins of parts in a schematic are indicated by small crosses. Set

this parameter to '0' to turn this off.

    Option.ShowTextOrigins

The origins of texts are indicated by small crosses. Set this parameter to

    '0' to turn this off.

e.g. Type into the command line

    set Option.ShowTextOrigins 0
