Nokia Purchases Trolltech

Hello everyone,

 

I saw a story running on slashdot today about Nokia buying Trolltech.  Any

ideas on how this may effect EAGLE as it is based on QT (by Trolltech)?  I

assume that CadSoft has a commercial license of the product so they have a

bit more leverage than KDE that uses a free license.

    why Nokia needs Trolltech - in any case the situation is not stable, not

    good for Eagle.

     

    My guess would be they want a nice GUI for a new line of smart phones that

    run linux.   Cheaper to buy Trolltech then try to design and support Windows

    CE or whatever they are calling it these days.  We can only hope.
