as you can tell, new to eagle. one of my head scratching is how to allign the parts with specific distances as i am trying to make sure the board i produce will siton top of an arduino board headers!! beside how to get the distances for the seperation of arduino headers and i could not find them documeneted.

The easiest I think, take the coordinate 0.0 as a reference and then set

and change the grid according your needs (1/10000 mm if you like).

On the top left you can see the distance from the/your reference point.

(you can set your own reference too). Help grid.

The official Arduino boards are laid out using Eagle 6. If you go to the

Arduino Hardware page (http://arduino.cc/en/Main/Products) and look at

any of the boards you'll find a downloadable Zip file containing the

Eagle design for that board. That's probably the easiest way of making

sure your boards match the official design.

In general, when trying to place a component precisely, it's often

easiest to bring up the "info" pop-up for the component and directly

    edit the component location.

meaning: open the arduino files in question, note down the coordinates

of the connectors (info dialog), then place the corresponding

connectors in your board accordingly (info dialog or add command with

    coordinates as parameter).
