How to stop auto increment on copy/paste

On parts where the name of the part is for example C1, when you copy a

board and paste multiple copies onto a large panel for panelizing, all the

numbers automatically increment to the next highest number on each new

paste.

 

I need the parts names to stay the same.

 

Is there a work around for this?

  • Obviously Panelize ULP is the workaround.

    you can't have multiple parts with the same part name
