Finer design rules

Hi everybody,

I am working with TSOP and SOJ packages and couldn't figure out a nice

*.dru for my work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if that is even possible with double sided PCB. I can have

vias that is not a problem.Just double sided is my max

thanks

    Hello Csaba,

In Eagle you can modify design rules as you wish basically without

    limitations.

Design rules can be modified with command "Edit" > "Design Rules".

After editing the rules, you can save you new rules with browse button "Save

As.." into your file system for further use with another projects.

It's recommended to check directly from PWB manufacturer you'll use for your

printed wiring board their capability to meet your requirements for the

design rules. Usually capability information for minimum line widht /

spacing as well as for minimum hole sizes should be available in PWB

manufacturer's home pages. If not, I'm sure that they can provide this

    information upon request.

And don't worry about layer count: With TSOP packages you should be able to

survice with 2-layer design, but in case if you go for BGA / CSP's with 0.4

mm pitch then you'll need most likely some HDI technology boards.

    Kind regards: Tero
