Hi , I have just started trying to learn Eagle .
I know what I want to do but dont know the correct terminology to describe it so please forgive me describing it in my own worrds .
On schematics I can place my components and run wires from pin to pin as needed , but that doesnt always look good
and its certainly not the way I have seen other schematics done .
Most schematics I have seen will have all the sections of the circuit drawn as sub assemblies , for instance , all the decoupling caps are
often shown in one block with a little " tag" saying VCC and GND on them ( I dont know the correct term for this tag or label or whatever)
but I know this means they are connected to the VCC and GND nets
My design has 3 ICs each with 16 outputs to drive 16 RGB leds , one IC for each colour .The outputs will go to connectors on the edge of the board where the LED strings will connect up
but I dont want to show those connections as wires tangled all over the schematic I want to put a "tag" on each IC output like Red1 , Red2 ,,,,,,,, Red16
Green1, Green2,,,,,,,Green16 etc. and then matching tags will be on the connectors that they match up to drawn on a different part of the schematic
Doing the " tags" for Vcc , Gnd etc is easy , they are in the supply library , but how do I place a Tags that I can name myself such as Red1 etc
I suppose if I knew the correct terminology for " Tags" I would see it in the menu and not need to ask for help
