Can anyone recommend a good (and cheap) board house that
accepts Eagle files?

Don't limit yourself unnecessarily. Making Gerber and Excellon files
from Eagle is not hard, and any competent* board house should accept
them.
I did have one place struggle enormously with the Gerbers from Eagle,
but it very soon became obvious that was a result of their incompetence
so I just switched to www.pcbtrain.com
