Can't delete layer

Hello all,

 

I had a board that was 6 layer. After some changes I have managed to make

the board route in 4-layers quite readily. Then I went to delete the layers

from the layer display. It let me delete layer 4, but not layer 5.

 

Obviously something is still using layer 5, but it is not displayed. Is

there some way to find anything on this layer? I have tried turning off all

layers except 5 and see what is displayed. Nothing is displayed in this

case. My board design rules makes no reference to layer 5 and the router

setup make no reference to layer 5 either.

    this; otherwise, I cannot get the board out for manufacture with known

    Yeah, sems to be a little trouble with that. I try tests with a copy

    only but don´t have a 6 layer at hand right now. Usually one can delete

    a layer like "layer -x" where x = layer number, except if "layer is not

    empty". But give a try as Mr. Rafetseder suggested:"set used_layers 1".

    This should leave only a few layers and you can add the missing ones.

    No good solution but maybe a work around.....AND maybe you should check

    DRC /layers if your unwanted layer is still in the formula.
