Importing a package from a lib to another?

I'm pretty new to Eagle, and i'm using it for a single board layout.

 

As i'm using a component that's not available in the library, i wanted to

design my own library item. Basically, it's a QProx QTouch item, the

QT110A-ISG. It is a SOIC-8 chip.

 

So when i "designed" it, i created an ugly package that, i though, would do

the trick. But it actually doesn't.

 

Minutes ago, by reading this forum, i saw there already was an SOIC-8

package in ref-packages.lbr.

 

So my question is, how do i link my schematic for the QT110A-ISG (in

quantum-research-group.lbr) to the package SOIC-8 in ref-packages.lbr?

    With your new lib opened use the eagle control panel navigate to

    ref-packages.lbr and highlight the SOIC-8 popup menu  or main menu

    should offer copy to lib.

    But i actually was so bored that i finally opened the ref-packages lib and

    used the copy/paste method... Not the cleanest, but it did the trick too.
