Repositioning component labels?

autodeskguest

I've looked through the faq, tried the in-program help, and even gone

through the tutorials, but can't seem to find an answer to this:

Is it possible to reposition the text for a component (i.e. part name and

value: R3 470) on a board? If so, how?

I'd also be interested to know if I can save areas of a schematic as

'blocks' (for example, a microcontroller with the crystal and reset

circuitry) that I can paste back into another project?

    Hello Dave.

    sigh

Just tried that, and it's exactly what I wanted to do. Most definitely

not what I would have expected it be called, though.

    Thanks.

..and just in case you have to smash more than a few items, there is an

    ulp called smash-all-sheet or so.

Simply make a group (rectangle or polygon), click the "Smash"-button & now a

right mouse click, everything inside the group is smashed image

Or grouping with single clicks "first point, next corner, next corner...

and right closes" (do not keep mouse button down), so you can collect

any area you want for the selection.
