via in board editor has an X

All,

 

I've done the RTFM looking for the board editor, where my routing from top to bottom puts an X over the VIA symbol.  I interpret that as an error.  Any know the answer for this?  thanks

    The X is the visual indication of a zero-length airwire.

    (Before doing anything else, try RATSNEST.)
