I am creating a library part for a touch pad for a Qprox sensor that uses X
and Y grid. I only want traces on the top of the board, so that only the
pads(sensors) are visible on the bottom which is where the PCB will connect
to a graphic overlay.
The best trick I can think of is to use one regular pad shown in the center,
and a semi circle on the bottom layer shown on the outside. I used a smaller
pad to make a connection to the large semi circle, as I know3 of know way to
connect the symbol X to the senmi circle. But, in my experience, when the
boards are made, there may not end up a connection here so that the small
pad actually touches the large semi circle. I can't use a pad on top of a
pad.
Can anyone please tell me if this will actually work as drawn once it gets
to the board house? If not, is there a simple solution to create the touch
sensor as needed?
Thanks for any suggestions
