Updating from Earlier Version

I get the message, "Updating from Earlier Version" the first time I

use a Library after starting Eagle 5.3.0.  I assume this message has

to do with the Library, but I cannot decide why I get this message.  I

have downloaded the latest Libraries from the Cadsoft website.  Does

anyone know why I am getting this message and how to avoid it?

Please check the setting of your library path in the Options/Directories

menu of the EAGLE Control Panel. Does it point to the current libraries?

If yes, maybe there are library files that are made and saved in an

previous data format, for example of version 4.1.

When reading such a library file EAGLE has to convert it first into

versioin 5 data format. If you would open the older libraries and

save them with EAGLE 5.3 the message would no longer be shown.

The library path is correct.  I am sure you are correct about the

older library.  I did open and modify one or two libraries in an

earlier version.  The problem is, I don't know which ones.  Is there a

way to identify which of the libraries might have been saved in an

    older format?

You could write a script file with one single line

    WRITE;

Save it and then start run-loop-all-lbr-script.ulp.

This ULP will read your script and loop through all you libraries

in the current directory. So each lbr file will be saved and all

libraries are stored in version 5 format.

    Thanks.  That did the trick.
