cant create polygon, getting frustrated

I have a board and make a polygon (trace pour) and connect all the sides. When I click anything else, it disappears. I have created a new board and tried the same thing and it works fine. What is going on?

    - you've drawn the polygon in the one of the routing layers?

    - the respective layer is visible?

    - you've named the polygon appropriately?

    - the polygon is connected to a existing signal per via or trace

    (stub)?

    - ratsnest command?

     

    if none of that helps come back with a bit more information about what

    exactly you've done.
