Chipcon-ti lilbrary question...

Hello,

I am trying to build a basic RF board using the CC2430 defined in the

chipcon-ti library from the Eagle site.  When I place the symbol on the

schematic all of the power pins are missing.  The part defines two symbols,

one is an IO and RF symbol and the second is the Power pins but the power

pins are not placed on my schematic.

Anyone every used these parts before?  Who build it, the site gives Mc_sho

at gmx.de but that seems to be a strange email address.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ken

    hi,

take a look at the symbol drawing in the library. and write down the

power pin names. If your board schematic has net names for power pins

then there is nothing to worry about. But if it is not, then simply

place nets for power pins in your schematic and connect them to the

proper nets. Namely, if your power pin name is VCC in your library and

VDD in your schematic, then , either place a net, give a name to VCC and

connect it to your VDD net, or place a VCC pin from the supply library

on your schematic and connect it to the VDD net. The same is valid for

GND ( whatever it is in your library ) though.

    Firat,

Just use INVOKE and klick the symbol. In the opening list you can select

the PWR section of that device.
