Viewing schematics from Altium Designer

A client has given me some Schematics which are in Altium Designer format.

I don't need to be able to edit the files, just to view them would be OK.

Does anyone know how I can convert the Altium Designer files to PDF or Eagle

SCH format? Even JPG or BMP would od for me just now!

I downloaded the Altium Designer Viewer but you have to wait for a contact

from their sales team to try to up sell you before they'll give you a viewer

license. So far they haven't made any attempt to contact me, so I don't yet

have a viewer.

Regards,

KM.

    KM,

You might want to contact your client.  They should be able to save out

the Altium files in PDF format for you.  Also, if memory serves me

correctly they can save out the board outline in a DXF format which EAGLE

can import using one of the ULP programs.  This may save you the hassle

    with dealing with Altium.

I used to run an earlier version of Protel (altium). It had very limited

exports. I finally got Acrobat Distiller (then later CutePDF which is better

and free) and would just plot to the PDF printer. I recall having problems

with distiller in that it would make a pdf for each schematic sheet. CutePDF

made all sheets into one PDF.

The DXF option is really neat if the altium platform supports that export. I

never tried that with a schematic.
