"disable" or "comment out" components

  Is there a way to "comment out" or disable certain parts in eagle, so

they would still appear in the schematic, but not on the board?

  • yeah...we know it doesn't work, the comment was more directed to CADSOFT

    than to you.

    It would be nice if not every symbol had to have a package associated

    with it. schematics are used to document more than just a board layout.

     

    As I said, it's often asked for, seldom provided. For a hierarchy

    deficient tool like EAGLE, it's practically a necessity (IMNSHO).
