eagle2freerouterV6-4 error - help please

Hi folks

 

When I run the ulp on an in-progress, 2 layer board design (Eagle 6.6) it returns an error:

 

C:/Eagle_Libraries/eagle2freerouterV6-4.ulp(275):

Invalid argument in call to 'asin(1.244)'

 

Any ideas on what might cause this would be appreciated.

 

Does the board need to be DRC error free for the ULP to operate correctly?

It would be helpful to hear from somebody with definitive experience on this.

PS - Having resolved all DRC errors, the exception still occurs.

 

A bit stuck now. Can't think how to progress without gradually picking apart the board to try to get it to a state where the ULP works, which it did when the board was simpler.

  • Ok, answering my own question.

     

    After progressively ripping up hand routed tracks on the board and running the ULP, I discovered that it does not like some kinds overlaps where a track is joined to a part, even though these connections don't cause DRC errors.

    So the solution was to clean up all hand routed tracks where they attach to parts.   Now the DSN file successfully generates.

     

    Hope this helps somebody.

    It looks to be a little later than yours
