Automatic gap between polygons??

For both the top and bottom layers, when a polygon overlaps a trace with

a different signal name, there is clearly an isolation gap between them.

However, with two different named polygons on the same layer, no gap is

visible.

Are they actually shorted together??

Do such polygons have to be manually isolated?
