Unsmash with restore??

Being in the final stages of layout, I've started using the smash

command to free the names from the parts for best placement.  Having

deleted the unneeded "values" that were also displayed, I had

unintentionally also deleted some of the names.

Can the names be restored as part of the device on the board?  The work

around to add text on the same layer as the former displayed name is OK

and fixes the problem, but I was just wondering if there is such a thing

as being able to "reconnect" the name.

Thanks.

Instead of deleting values you can just turn off display of the

t/bValues layers.   In your CAM job definition do not enable t/bValues

in any of the sections and the values will not appear in any of the

gerbers.    Doesn't solve your problem but may avoid headache in future!
