Change layer doenst work

autodeskguest
autodeskguest over 16 years ago

Some time ago I have created a heatsink outline on layer 21.

But I want to change it to layer 151 so I first create a group by selecting

all items.

Then use the command CHANGE LAYER and then selected Layer 151.

But it doesn't work, all items are still on layer 21. Do I something wrong?

If it's part of a package, you have to change the package within the

libary and then do an UPDATE in the board.

Sorry to say but it doesn't. This is how I try do change the layer:

After clicking Group I select all items I want to change

Then using CHANGE LAYER I get the layers menu.

In that one I select a self created layer 151 Heat sink

Doing so produces no error but it doesn't change the layer.

After that I save the Library en do a UPDATE ALL in the board.

It now works but not as you say it should.

Using the menu's it DOESN'T work!!!!

To get it right do this by typing in the command window:

    GROUP ALL

    CHANGE LAYER 151

    Ctrl + Right Mouse Click

Maybe this is a bug in this release?

Which release do you use? I tried it with 5.7.0 and 5.6.0. and

it works as I told you.

    - Click on GROUP icon

    - select the objects by dragging a rect over the board,

    - now click the CHANGE icon, select Layer in the menu,

    - select the layer from the list,

    - CTRL + right click into the drawing.
