Polygon troubles

autodeskguest

My design has two polygons, so far, both named GND.  Ratsnest filled in

the first one but adding another resulted in an error from Ratsnest:

"Signal GND contains an invalid polygon."

The two polygons do not touch each other.

I am stumped by this.  Any idea what I am missing?

Frequently this means that the polygon crosses itself or has a zero length

    section.

It should not be too hard to find if you select different areas and check

    them out.

    Hi John,

An invalid polygon means that two of the line segments making the outline

of the polygon cross over each other.  This usually happens at the corners

of complex shapes.  Go to each corner, zoom in, and drag out the corner

until you find it.  Sometimes, it's easier to simply delete and draw

    again.

    Cheers,

    James.

Has anyone test is it possible to import 3'rd party components to Eagle?

Like Analog Devices has lots of special items I wish to use, but drawing

always these parts isnt so practical.

Any info of importing from; multisim, orcad, protel99 and protel99PCB,

    allegro, boardstation, powerPCB and ultiboard?

These are available from AD, but even I have ask several times support for

    EAGLE, none has appeared.

Or does anyone know any converter to do this for EAGLE?

    Regards, :Jari
