scoring in Eagle

Hi,

I want to submit a single design to a PCB house that is actually several

separate PCBs all joined together in a mini-panel.

I've seen scoring used before so that it is easy to snap PCBs cleanly, but I

cant see how to do this in eagle.

I have seen milling layer (46), and I gess scoring is like milling except

you dont go all the way through the board.

Google hasnt come up with an answer, so I turn to you good people!

Thanks

Chris

This is nothing about EAGLE, but about communication with your board house.

When we order scored boards, we simply draw the scoring lines in a

separate layer (not the milling layer, since this contains our milling

contour - normally the outlines) and provide a gerber file of that

scoring layer along with all the other gerber files. Then we tell the

board house to score the panel according to that file. There never has

    been any problem.

Either that, or do it like it was done on my last smaller board: Most of

the borders are milled out and only a few bridges remain. Then you can

break the individual boards out like pieces of a chocolate bar.

Hmm, where is that chocolate ... ?
