Quickly adding nets and labels

autodeskguest

If I have say a 50 pin connector and want to add nets and labels for

each pin; how do I do this quickly?

I saw a video guide for Eagle where they first added the first pin's net

then magically added all the other pins in one go. Unfortunately they

didn't comment or explain how this was done, or if it was just a matter

of editing out the adding of all those other pins. It would sure save me

a lot of time if's possible though.

If I want a connector for a very specific use, I make a copy and rename

the pins either at the symbol or the device, depending on how you want

    it to look.

I prefer doing it on the symbol only. This also enables you to set IO

directions according to the connector use.

Unfortunately Eagle does not support user-configurable pin names, wich I

think would be very useful especially for FPGA use, where pin funcions

may change during the design phase.
