Eagle part for rubber keypad?

pschalkx
pschalkx over 10 years ago

Hi all,

I need to make a pcb to place under a rubber keypad, the usual type with a conductive pad under the dome of each key.

After some time searching I can't find an eagle part that does the job. I can sit down and create one myself, but why reinvent the wheel?

Does anybody know the name of a library and part to make the keypads?

Thanks in advance

Philip

    Hi Clem,

Yes, I had noticed this one. But when I try to load the files into Eagle 7.3 it complains that these are not eagle files. I opened them with a text editor and they are for Eagle version 6.x.

    Any suggestions?

    Tks!

    Hi

The file is fine in version 7

The issue is getting it out of github

One way you get an HTML file

Another way you get the library file with stuff on the front and more on

    the end.

    Try this way:

From the link click Adafruit Trellis.lbr

    Then click RAW

Then copy what you see into a file and save it as Adafruit Trellis.lbr

Then open the file in Eagle.

Because it's faster than carefully vetting someone else's part to your

design rules and conventions, then making the inevitable modifications.
