Import drawings schema eagle

axamith
axamith over 7 years ago

Hi, I use Eagle free, version 7.7

I have created drawings and PCB designs of two (or more) devices. I needed to get them into one scheme so I could design a new PCB that will contain an imported scheme. Now I can import File / Import / Eagle grawing schematics I have schematics on separate drawings, when importing PCBs they are imported into one, but I can not connect them to each other. Only Vcc and GND are connected to each other. Can somehow work with schematics as a schema and modify them together to act as a schematic?

It is clear to me that the PCB does not impose that I will have to edit or re-design it; I want it to be able to use previously drawn diagrams.

Thank you for the advice.

I have created drawings and PCB designs of two (or more) devices. I

needed to get them into one scheme so I could design a new PCB that

will contain an imported scheme. Now I can import File / Import /

Eagle grawing schematics I have schematics on separate drawings, when

importing PCBs they are imported into one,

if I understand you correctly you now have two schematic pages and one

board drawing containing the combined layouts.

but I can not connect them

to each other. Only Vcc and GND are connected to each other.

All net segments with the same name belong to one net.

Just name the net segments accordingly. On multipage schematics one

would normally put a label (or cross reference label) onto the net

segments to make the connection clear.

But you could also move the circuit from the second page into the

    first.

You will have to do that anyway if you what to import additional

schematics/boards, because the free version olny supports 2 schematic

    pages.
