Today air wires disappeared when I deleted traces

Hi All,

New to the forum, I'm using a mac with latest version of Eagle Cad.  This morning I deleted some traces to reposition some components and typically when I do that an air wire automatically appears for each trace deleted between the pads.  I hit the rats nest button, still no airwires show up. I tried using the "ratsnest *" command also to no avail.  The top line did say I was logged out, so I quit Eagle Cad and and restarted it opened the file again and still no airwires from the pads after hitting ratsnest button and issuing the "rats nest *" command again.  Any ideas on what might be going on and what I can do to resolve?

Thanks in advance

Mike

    Hi,

well, ... "DELETE" Button means delete. image

You must hit the RIPUP - Button, then the RATS-NEST button.

Rip-Up ripes the trace what you want ripping up between one edge of the trace to the next edge of that trace and keeps the airwire.

Please read the manual for more details.

Ok, sorry about that. I had set layers to all used after finish routing them all yesterday and it turned off the unrouted layer 19 (maybe because no airwires existed?).  Turned the #19 unrouted  layer back on and there they are.

Hopefully this may help another new user...

    Best,

    Mike

Sorry, I should have been more careful in my original post. I actually did not delete, I had used rip up, my issue was with viewing the layer. Thanks for your reply.

Yes that is an argument. image

But, this can you see fast. You just mentioned "I deleted some traces...." - for this information firstly I thought you have lost some connections.
