Multiple Boards off of a single Schematic?

mitchellch@gmail.com
mitchellch@gmail.com over 13 years ago

Hi,

I've developed a schematic and a board layout for a prototype to be built in my garage.  In order for my prototype to be build-able at home I used large holes, pads, vias, traces, etc.  Now that the prototype is donw, I would now like to 'tighten' up the board design to send out for fabrication.  However, I would also like to keep my prototype board layout up to date.  Can a single schematic have multiple associated board layouts?

I suppose I could just make a copy the entire project, but then any changes I make to the schematic will need to be made in both projects.

Any suggestions?

TIA

-Mitch

Here's another thing to be fixed at Element14.

This is a partial  link to an Element14 discussion group item.

When passed to NNTP it should have a full URL to that destination like so

    http://www.element14.com/community/message/12213#12213/l/re-how-can-i-create-several-boards-based-on-one-schematic

The full URL does exist in the HTML of the dissusion group item but has been

prefix/path stripped before sending to NNTP.
