xml error when opening a schematic in 6.1 or 6.2 from a 5.11 file.

I'm getting an error opening an older schematic in V6.2.  Also tried in 6.1 with the same result.  I can still open it and use it in 5.11.0

An error occurred while parsing the intermediate XML file.

The XML file has been loaded into a text editor window as C:/Users/usera/Documents/!eagle/XYZorg.rpt.sch

Error: line 11652, column 125: redefinition of name '!OUTB' in tag

What gives and how can I resolve the problem?

    Hi Phil,

Usually these popup when the V5 contains some abnormatlity which V5

could tolerate but when V6 converts it to XML, the resulting XML file is

corrupted and V6 bails. More often then not the error is minor and EAGLE

helps you out by telling you exactly where the error is occuring.

If you're feeling brave open the XML file in a text editor (like the

popular Notepad++) and look at the referenced line. More than likely

either a few lines before or a few lines after you will find a second

instance of !OUTB, you can consolidate the two and that will fix it.

The other option is to e-mail me the file and let me fix it. You can

    e-mail the file to support@cadsoftusa.com.

    hth,

Thanks, I had looked at the XML file and didn't see the issue.  Turns out it was !OUTA that was the 2nd pin.  But my fix was to delete the part in the schematic and save it in 5.11, open it in 6.2 and reinstall the part.  Thanks though.
