Why does Eagle not install itself in a common Folder

Hi

I am curious, everytime you install Eagle it creates a new  Folder for that version.

Like most programs do, they un-install the previous version or delete all files and copy everything in the

same folder, otherwise you have to go and un-install the previous version at every update.

I can understand if it was a Major Revision with file structure changes or a Beta version where you would copy them

in their own Directories but I don't understand this reason for this design?.

I don't know what you are talking about. I can install eagle where I

want it. It's up to you if you want to install it into a new folder or

into the previous one. No problem at all image

After reading your comment I did another test installing Eagle, I took notice of the path/folder name and found you can change it

which I never took notice before, maily because during the install I just click next, next....

The fact the folder name is always the Eagle version made me think it was done on purpose

and you had to follow the same name.
