Lock command disabled in freeware version ?

I am evaluating the freeware version and the LOCK command is not working. Is Eagle hiding the fact that it has disabled some functions in the freeware version ? The lock icon is selectable in the board editor on the left tool bar but clicking objects - any object - polygon, wire, pad, anything does nothing, it does not lock them. You can still move them. The same for group lock does not work at all.

According to the Freeware limitation description LOCK should work. anyone tried the LOCK command in the freeware version ???

The issue is that the lock feature only locks the position of components not traces or polygons etc. This is true in all versions of EAGLE. The layers torigins and borigins display the center of the components you place. When you lock a component you will see that the + turns into an x, showing you that is can no longer be moved. FYI to unlock a component you can use the ctrl + shift + left mouse, when lock is selected.
