Designlink empty when using Modules/Hierarchical design

I created a hierarchical schematic using Modules and now Designlink does not show any components. The BOM export generates a Bill of Materials to a file. I added a resistor to the top level schematic along with the five Modules on the page and Designlink only shows this component. Do I need to do something special to get Designlink to see all the components when using Modules? I know Designlink works with the flat schematic tutorial example. Is there a way to flatten a schematic?

I receive the following response to my questions from Eagle Technical Support (ETS):

Q1) First, I created a hierarchical schematic of my system. Each module represents a separate board and I'm using this top level schematic [to] shows [show] how all the boards connect together. How do I tell the schematic that each module should open a unique board layout for each module?

ETS) Unfortunately, this isn't currently implemented. As of this release, we only have schematic hierarchy. In the near future we should have complete hierarchy fully implemented.

Q2) Second, I created a hierarchical schematic using Modules that are all part of the same board. Designlink does not show any components. The BOM export, however, generates a proper Bill of Materials will all components to a file. I added a resistor to the top level schematic along with the five Modules on the top page and Designlink only shows this component. Do I need to do something special to get Designlink to see all the components when using Modules? I know Designlink works with the flat schematic tutorial example.

ETS) Designlink, like many of the ULPs has not been updated to deal with Hierarchy, that's why it behaves so oddly. In the coming months we'll be working to update the ULPs and bring other items up to date.

Q3) Lastly, Is there an automatic way to flatten a schematic?

ETS) Not right now, unfortunately. I wish I had better news, things will get better though. We just lost a lot of time implementing the "improved" licensing system we had to can within a month of release. We're playing catchup right now, but we'll get there.
