Libraries available for download

Hello,

 

Newbie here in this forum

 

Been using Eagle for many years, and now using version 5.

 

None of the libraries I downloaded here will work with my version, and it is far too expensive to upgrade to the

latest Eagle.  Is there anything that can be done?

    To be slightly less pedantic, one option you have is to install (in

    parallel or on a spare machine) the latest version 7 with a freeware

    license. It's fully functional like that, apart from restrictions that

    don't matter for your purpose. Now load the library you're interested in

    on V7. Have a poke around to see if it's what you're after. If so,

    export it as a script. You can then run that script in a newly created

    empty library on V5. You may need to edit it a little or play around

    with settings for export but it should work.

    Now the best thing to do with libraries is to take the time to learn how

    to make them yourself. I know it can seem intimidating at first, but

    it's the best way to make sure you have the parts you need and that they

    match your specifications.

     

    Chp 8 of the EAGLE manual is the most comprehensive tutorial on part

    creation.
