Autoroute UNDO??

Former Member
Former Member over 15 years ago

Hi

I am trying with the autorouter but unfortunately if it fails with

"unrouted" nets I cannot start from scratch but continues from where left.

In Addition if I move a part moves also the route overlapping etc. I Wonder

if there is a way to overcome it.

Except saving before autorouter with different filename etc.

thank you in advance for any help

Gross

Huh?  Try saying this in english.

I don't know what you want to overcome due to your garbled description.

However, if you want to undo something the autorouter did, you can use

RIPUP.  This works regardless of whether a trace was autorouted or manually

    routed.

It's a good idea to save a copy of the board before running the

    autorouter.

I would find useful an auto router undo function.

I happened to missclick the autoroute button on a board that was pretty

advanced and I found out there was no way to undo what the autorouter

had done. There is off course the option to load a previously saved

version but that is not as practical as an auto-router undo.

I used the function by mistake, a mistake very unlikely to occur(a click

and an enter). Some people might not know this is the regular behavior

since almost anything in Eagle can be undone and not bother saving

before doing it. Hunting the auto-routed traces is difficult and

counterproductive especially when having a routing plan for your board.
