ATTENTION MODERATOR OF THIS NEWSGROUP: A REQUEST

hi,

 

Please allow size of messages to post larger than 50K bytes.  How about

100K bytes?  It's SO difficult to post an attachment, an image, for

example, with a limit of 50K bytes message size.

 

I know it can cost more on storage, but hard disk is fairly cheap nowadays.

    The size limit is there for a reason.  When you post a attachment to the

    newgroup, it gets replicated to everyone.  Put your large file on a server

    someplace and put only the link in your message.

     

    You can also post the attachment to one of the forums, but it may not be

    visible outside that forum.  The forums should save the attachment and then

    send the URL in the message automatically, but I'm not sure either one is

    working that way currently.
