Trace Clearance

Hi,

 

I'm looking for how to increase the amount of black space around each trace.  I am getting freedfm errors because of this and have never experienced this problem before.  I have a circular trace on the bottom layer (that will be cut out later but I don't want my ground plane inside there) and I get insufficient spacing errors on that trace.  Does anyone know how to increase the spacing around each individual trace?

    Eagle doesn't know nor care what color the space is around your traces.

    This is something you arrange with a board house.  Often you have to pay

    extra for anything other than green.

    This is set by the net class definitions.  See HELP CLASS.  There is also a

    global override in the DRC settings.  Use the DRC settings to specify what

    overall design rules you want, then the net class for restrictions specific

    to individual nets.

    you can draw into the restrict layers to keep polygons ( your ground

    plane i suppose ) out of an area. this is often superior to drawing a

    trace there.
