Move polygon

I often have use for moving a polygon. Why not put it in context menu?

 

 

 

  • I just learned how to do this myself. Just use the group tool, then ctrl-left click on one segment of the polygon. Now you can move or manipulate as with any other group.

    It's a good idea.  I'd like a way to move a polygon as it is without having

    to select every vertice.  So in other words, with some combination of

    modifier keys I could select any point on the polygon and the whole polygon

    would move as if I had selected it with group and moved the group.

     

    My polygons tend to be very complex and it is very time consuming to have

    to select the polygon and not the dense routing around it.

     

    As a side idea, it would be nice to be able to turn the display of

    different types of objects on and off.  Sort of like layers dialog but

    filtering on object type.  So show me all the polygons on the GND layer--no

    problem.  Show me all the traces, but not polygons, on the top layer--no

    problem.  Might be an alternate way to get the same result--at least it

    would be easy to select a polygon if all the traces were out of the way.
