Duplicating my *.brd design in the same layout area

Hi,

 

I have a layout design that is about 2cm X 2cm.  I am ready to send in

my design for the PCB manufacturer to produce the PCBs.  Although this

is just prototyping, I would to maximize the PCB usage, which is

required by the PCB manufacturer to be of minimum size of 5cm X 5cm.

 

Basically, I would to make use of the 5cm X 5cm board to have two of my

2cm X 2cm design in it.  The PCB manufacturer won't do it.

 

So, my only chance is put TWO of my design side by side in the same

layout, that is, same *.brd file.  How would I duplicate the same design

with in the same layout?

  • I think what you can do is take your schematic and copy it (group,

    highlight all, click the cut button, click on your parts, click paste,

    click to duplicate everything). When you click back to your schematic,

    you'll have another set of parts there and you can place them exactly like

    the other set.
