We're using a script for the DRC here, which does a rather similar thing:

  - It shows lots of layers for the DRC (even the stop masks etc.).

  - It runs the DRC.

  - It hides some layers AFTERWARDS. This way, you see that there ARE

    (lots) of messages in hidden layers, but you are not pestered by

    them, because they are not shown in the list by default.
