overlapping wires in schem. auto connect i n board routing

Hi Guys,

 

I'm having a problem with routing a board from a schematic. When I move

from the schematic to the board and use the auto router it connects wires

between pads and vias that it shouldn't. Eg. there are connections from the

annode to the cathode of some of the diodes. In the schematic there are no

connections between the two (no accidental wire running through the

component). The only thing is the schematic wires running over the top of

other wire and the software deciding that some of them are connected.

The ERC says everything is good though.

Is there a way that I can define a non-connection to be sure as this is a

big design involving multiple pics controllers and it would be almost

impossible to visually debug a routed board.

 

ALSO -I'm new to Eagle.

    Maybe you should provide a little screenshot to make clear what you

    mean. If eagle "thinks" the connection is correct then there is no

    warning of course.

    Move the device in the schematic a litte and see what nets do follow.

    You should note something: If a net is a little away from a pin and you

    MOVE the net to the pin it will NOT connect (you would use NET to make

    the connection) BUT if you MOVE the device toward the net, it WILL

    connect. If nets are running crisscross in the schematic does not

    matter. Use SHOW to see what nets are together.

    If you see the Autorouter doing something "wrong" recheck the schematic.

    Hit F1 to get the HELP image
