Signal ports that can be used to indicate signals that are connected between different sheets are missing for a long time in Eagle. I was happy to see the that is no available, though it is quite hidden.

    I have suggested before that the direction of this arrow is auto drawn based

    on the direction of the IO's its connected to on the page where it is used..

     

    Also, BUS page connectors are wanted. And I'd like to see a new BUS system,

    where the bus name is added to the signals connected maybe with a '_'

    between, so that bus "data" wich has signals A0..1 connected will have name

    data_A0 and data_A1. As a side effect, this will automatically ERC wires not

    connected to the bus properly, plus it's alot easier to make duplicates of

    buses. You can just copy a sheet and rename the bus.

    Sorry, hit the wrong key in mid sentence there.

     

    Unfortunately the XRef implementation falls a bit short of the mark. It would be nice if it could be improved in the following ways:

     

    • right now the box has a pointy end that is always pointing toward the origin. It would be nice to be able to select the following variations: No pointer, pointer on both ends, pointer toward origin (as implemented) and pointer way from origin.
    • the width of the box is generated automatically based on the text in the box, with no way for the user to influence it. This would be marginally ok if the width was at least rounded up to the next full grid. In this case it would actually be possible to align mutiple boxes that are stacked vertically with each other. As it is at the moment this cannot be done at all. This makes schematics look a bit messy.
    • it would be even better if the user could stretch the box horizontally. This would not only allow for alignment of multiple boxes, but they could also be made the same width, regardless of the text in each box.
