BUS Tutorials / examples of how to use

Former Member
Former Member over 14 years ago

Finding it a bit difficult to understand BUSs which I suspect will simplify

the appearance of a schematic by bringing more than one wire into the

common bus line.

Does anyone have some advice or examples.

Thanks

The current eagle bus is only there for redundancy when drawing the

schematic. You need to name it with all the signals you want it to carry

(comma seperated) and all nets ending at it will be checked against that

list at ERC. If some net not belonging to the bus is found or one is

    missing you get a warning.

Signals ending with an index can be compressed in the bus name.

(I have asked for improved bus support so buses easily can be copied and

    reused.)

Bus wires still don't drag attached nets with them.  Maybe this should

be thrown into the suggest group.
