scrolling horizontal / vertical using mouse/trackpad

Dear all,

I'm using Eagle 5.11.0 on Mac OS X.

I would like to use trackpad/mouse to scroll/zoom the schematic/board

without using cursors or manually press the scroll bars.

Default behavor for both mouse scrollwheel and trackpad is zoom.

By changing Option -> User Interface -> Mouse wheel zoom to 0 it will

switch to scroll mode.

However the scroll mode only support vertical scroll, not horizontal

which is not very usefull.

So my question is if anybody know how to enable both

horizontal/vertical scrolling for mouse wheel/trackpad for Eagle in OS

X ?

The ideal would be to both zoom/scroll using the trackpad guestures.

That would make Eagle much more productive on smaller screens.

Best regards,

Jon

I suggest to try activating "pan by ctl key" - that's much more

convenient, IMHO. You just hold down ctl and then the mouse/trackpad

    pans the window content.

Along with scroll wheel zoom that's perfect for me.

    Thanks Tilmann, this works great.

I found on OS X it's command key instead of control.

To activate the function I found two ways you could activate/deactivate this.

    From EAGLE:

    Type 'SET Interface.UseCtrlForPanning 1'

    From .eaglerc:

    Interface.UseCtrlForPanning = "1"

    Best regards,

    Jon

Seems not working for me on OS X. Maybe some special settings needs to

be enabled for this or it might be windows specific.

Even tought the CMD/CTRL key makes it much more easy to move around in

schematic, it would be great if Cadsoft has planed/implemented trackpad

guestures for next version of Eagle.

    Best regards,

    Jon
