Variable track width and spacing

Is it possible to configure Eagle to increase the track width and spacing

when there is plenty of space available? I appreciate that when routing

between pads or around other components tracks have to get pretty close to

each other, but Eagle seems to be quite happy to route a couple of very

thin tracks right next to each other even when there is plenty of space

available. I've just started using eagle and will be etching my own boards,

I know from experience that making your own boards can be hit and miss

affair, and I'd like if I can, to keep the tracks reasonably wide and well

spaced whenever possible.

    The auto-router will always use the width specified by the net class

    associated with the signal/net.  But it will always use the minimum

    required.  It does not have the capability of using minimum when it has to

    and a default value when it can (like Alitum does).

     

    When manual routing, you can make any trace segment any width you want.

    The DRC will flag anything too narrow (based on net class/DRC setting) or

    any clearances that are violated but you can make it as large as you want.
