I've had a quick search and haven't found anything which sheds any light on
this problem, and I'm sure it only affects a small minority of people. I've
upgraded a Linux Distro today and found that eagle doesn't work on the new
Gnome 3 window manager. (Pity as I'm kinda liking Gnome 3.)
Basically Gnome 3 can't display the Board window, only the Schematic
editor. I've not gotten too far into but basically turned tail and
installed KDE, on which eagle still works, beautifully
. I run between a
few netbooks, laptops and desktops and I'm currently migrating to more
recent distros. I tried this in OpenSUSE 12.1 with Gnome 3.
I can't offer any more then that but if you want specific info I can
reinstall on a machine and provide into if requested.
