Board Outline

I know that Dimension layer 20 is standard for the board outline.  My

board house needs a board outline layer as part of the gerber files.  My

problem is that holes also show up on this layer.

I was thinking about duplicating the outline on the milling layer 46.

Is this similar to Protel's mechanical layer (.gm1)?

    Don't know about Protel, but that's exactly what I do.

     

    Draw the outline with a really thin wire to avoid any discussion about

    which edge or center is the right one - I always use 0.01 mm.
