I'm sure this is a dumb question, but I installed the 5.12.0 (upgraded
from 5.11.0). It installed in it's own directory in "Program Files"
which is fine, but now my board files reference the libraries in the old
5.11.0 directory. What is the standard way for dealing with this?
BTW, running Windows XP Professional

My "Standart" is just to set the correct path in control
panel/options/directories
I understand that, but options->libraries has the path as
"$EAGLEDIR\lbr". Presumably, the environment variable $EAGLEDIR now
points to C:\Program Files\EAGLE-5.12.0\lbr rather than C:\Program
Files\EAGLE-5.11.0\lbr.
I guess what I should do is just copy the lib and ulp directories over
the ones newly crated and blow the whole 5.11.0 directory away.

I have to use different versions of eagle (V4xx / V5xx) so I allways use
a straight path for each version and don't use the variable.
A problem could be the eaglers.usr file which contains lots of
parameters and usually is located (win xp) at
c:\...\user\app-data\cadsoft\eagle. In my case I prefer to have that
file in my ver.5 directory. This is possible if you use the
"-U"-parameter to specify the location of the eaglerc.usr file in the
properties. In this example it will put the file into your 5.12.0 directory.
C:\Program Files\EAGLE-5.12.0 -U C:\Program Files\EAGLE-5.12.0\eaglerc.usr

Duh! I just realized you can have more than one directory separated by a
semicolon. I will put my custom libraries elsewhere and link to it.
That is standart a long time . I never mix up my libraries with
eagle. Another thing about that path is that the first entry is scanned
first, so you may enter your library path as the first.
